Frontiers Records signs Sweden Sleaze Rock's finest CRASHDIET for the release of the band's third album - "Generation Wild" out on APRIL 23rd in Europe (excluding Scandinavia)

CRASHDIET was born in a new millennium where the rock n roll scene had almost died out. No looks, no tricks, no flash and balls and definitely a lack of big songs. Inspired by bands like SKID ROW, GUNS 'N ROSES, KISS and W.A.S.P, CRASHDIET brought back the big shows, the rough-edge sleaze anthems and the rawness of an unpredictable and dangerous band.

Discovered by Universal Music in 2004 after making a lot of noise down in the gutter of the Swedish underground, CRASHDIET became the first Sleaze Rock act to be signed directly to a major record company in over 10 years.

The debut album "Rest in Sleaze" entered the Swedish national album chart at position No. 12. The singles and videos like "Riot In Everyone", "It's A Miracle", and gold selling "Breakin The Chainz" were played frequently on radio and television. CRASHDIET embarked on a Swedish tour in the fall of 2005 to support the new album and they were on the verge of the big breakthrough when tragedy struck: on January 20th of 2006 singer Dave Lepard was found dead in his apartment after committing suicide. The surviving members were devastated and decided to break up the band shortly after. But on demand of the fans the three ex members decided to start up the band and put out ads for a singer.


In December 2006 the band confirmed the rumours about the newly found singer Olliver. The band started to work on their second album "The Unattractive Revolution" that was released in October 2007. Tours followed throughout Europe the rest of the year and up until the summer of 2008. After that the band parted ways with Olliver. In June of 2009 CRASHDIET revealed Stockholm-based Simon Cruz as the new frontman of the band. This is said to me the most solid line up ever!

The third album "Generation Wild" has been produced by the hit maker producing team RamPac and mixed by Tobias Lindell (Mustasch, Sister Sin) and marks the start of the cooperation with Frontiers Records, who will handle the release in Europe, excluding Scandinavia.

"We are very happy about the new deal with Frontiers. They are definitely the best label for the glam/sleaze genre in the world", says bassist Peter London.

De pe Viva La Rock, Fantastico!. O mostra de rock'n'roll pozitiv la cel mai inalt nivel. Broken Teeth e trupa lui Jason McMaster, fost in Dangerous Toys, pentru cine stie istorie. Am umblat cateva zile dupa Viva La Rock, Fantastico! si chiar voiam sa dau un premiu celui care imi da un link bun, insa, cu cateva secunde inainte sa incep postarea, am gasit albumul. Daca albumul merita si daca timpul imi va permite, s-ar putea sa mai scriu despre Broken Teeth. Pana atunci, piesa de mai jos e obligatorie:

Nu pot sa cred ca am facut topul sleaze pe 2009 fara Cowboy Prostitutes! Nu pot sa cred ca abia in 23.02.2010 am aflat ca cei de la Cowboy Prostitutes au lansat un nou album, Let Me Have Your Heart, pe 23.10.2009! Cred ca era de locul 2. Asta pot sa spun dupa cateva ascultari. Highly recommended!

Ratt, una dintre cele mai importante trupe de glam metal, revine cu un nou album, Infestation, dupa o pauza de 11 ani. 1% inspiratie si 99% transpiratie. Sunt convins ca cei patru suedezi de la Vains Of Jenna sunt intru totul de acord cu aceasta afirmatie. In cei trei ani care au trecut de la lansarea albumului Lit Up/Let Down, Lizzy DeVine, Nicki Kin, Jacki Stone si JP White au transpirat din greu, cam la fel ca Gabriel Cotabita cand se apropie de microfon. Numai ca in timp ce unii transpira de emotie ca vor interpreta o melodie scrisa de altcineva, in timp ce altii transpira cu instrumentul in brate si materiale de studiu in fata ochilor, cei de la Vains Of Jenna transpira in fiecare seara, in backstage, cu o sticla de Jack Daniel's in mana, firicele de praf alb pe la nas si capete care fac reclama la L'Oreal in jurul prohabului. Trebuia sa zic ceva si de instrument, nu? Si cine se pune in calea transpiratiei merita un pumn in nas, ca tour manager-ul trupei Cradle Of Filth. Adica e inadmisibil, domnule, sa se piarda procentul de 1% de inspiratie din cauza unui individ care pazeste usile! Asta e rock'n'roll-ul. Asta e transpiratia care face marile albume. The Art Of Telling Lies este un album mare, atat de mare ca da de pamant cu toate produsele aparute anul acesta in zona sleaze glam. Lizzy DeVine a caracterizat foarte bine The Art Of Telling Lies, intr-o declaratie recenta: The album is a mix of Sleaze, Rock n' Roll, Pop, Arena Rock, Funk and everything in between. Pe meleagurile noastre, aceasta combinatie muzicala este cunoscuta sub denumirea de rock'n'roll pozitiv. Bineinteles ca asa ceva nu se canta pe la noi, chiar daca se transpira in jurul urechilor, de la casti, si ni se fredoneaza zilnic acelasi refren: viata e nedreapta. Cum nu vii tu, Tepes Doamne...

Dirty Penny - Midnight Ride (video)

Despre Dirty Penny v-am mai vorbit cu alta ocazie. In cursul lunii septembrie 2009, cei patru americani din Santa Cruz, California, vor lansa un nou album, Young And Reckless. Pentru a ne face mai usoara asteptarea, au filmat un videoclip la Midnight Ride, piesa care deschide excelentul album Take It Sleezy (2007). Cu alte cuvinte, o noua mostra de rock'n'roll pozitiv.

Vains Of Jenna - Get It On (new single)

Vains Of Jenna, una dintre cele mai importante trupe din noul val de sleaze rock, va lansa un nou album, in cursul acestui an. Titlul acestuia va fi The Art Of Telling Lies, nu Rock'n'roll pozitiv, cum s-ar fi asteptat toata lumea. Deocamdata trebuie sa ne multumim cu single-ul Get It On. Strategia de promovare a single-ului s-a bazat pe o stire care facut repede inconjurul lumii: doi componenti Vains Of Jenna l-au batut pe tour manager-ul trupei Cradle Of Filth, in timpul turneului Viva La Bands II, pentru ca acesta a incercat sa le interzica accesul cu doua gagici in dressing room-ul pe care doar cei de la Cradle Of Filth aveau voie sa il foloseasca. Rezultatul:POZITIV! ROCK'N'ROLL POZITIV! Daca nu era pozitiv, Dave Lepard nu se ducea dracului in 2006.
