We Weren't Born To Follow este primul single de pe The Circle, cel de-al unsprezecelea album de studio al celor de la Bon Jovi. The Circle va fi lansat pe 10 noiembrie 2009 si este opera aceleiasi echipe de producatori cu care s-a lucrat si pe Lost Highway, adica Dann Huff si John Shanks, respectiv Desmond Child ca producator executiv. Conform declaratiei lui Richie Sambora, The Circle va insemna intoarcerea la rock'n'roll: I think what happened is the fact that we made the kind of Nashville-influenced record, and it created this vacuum now for a big rock record from us. There’s a continued evolution. The Circle doesn’t sound like any other previous record. Everybody that we’ve been playing it for has been real turned on by it, and we’re certainly happy with how it turned out.
